Curb Appeal
Begin with the outside of your house, also called your curb appeal. Inspect the outside of your house from the view of a passerby. What do you notice first? What would've-been-eye-catching features seem to fade into the background?
Acknowledging this helps us to choose what actions we can take to entice buyers from the street and into your home. If your home's exterior isn't as neat as possible with refreshed paint and blooming garden plants it's time to get those things done. Refer to the Curb Appeal Checklist and increase your home's final selling price.

Welcome Home
Could a buyer see themselves enjoying game night in your living area, relaxing in your reading nook or hosting a dinner in your dining room? We want your home to pleasantly accept buyers and give them a sense of easy living. I'll help you achieve this by suggesting small improvements that highlight the features of your house.
I'll advise you put in storage pieces that give the appearance of clutter. Counter tops should be neatly arranged. Arts and crafts, sentimental items, family photos, and play time drawings should get stored away too. We need to "de-personalize" the place so buyers can perceive it as their new place.
Every area gets a once-over. I'll point out the pieces of furniture that should be put in storage, rooms that need a fresh coat of paint, rugs needing to be changed, fixtures that could use shining, and any other improvement that can quickly be made to positively impact the sale.
We'll make sure your home is likable and that it's inviting, avoiding "loud" or "can't-work-with" colors on the walls and furniture. And if none of your belongings are there, you can think about borrowing furniture. You want your place to look lived in as opposed to deserted.

Setting the Stage
I'll tell you when your home is ready to open your home up to buyers, because all of the improvements mesh together to paint a picture of what buyers will expect after they choose to buy your house. To eliminate shadows important and we'll part the curtains, and reduce shadows where needed to invite the buyer inside. We'll enhance the mood of the house with enjoyable music playing softly and assure a delightful fragrance flows room-to-room. We'll include cozy-looking blankets, and pillows on your loveseat and bedding. Buyers should feel like your current home has the potential to be. |
